It's Actually Going to Happen....

Today, I finally received my Staging email from Peace Corps! After 4 long months of waiting, I am officially medically and legally cleared for the Kyrgyz Republic! I apologize ahead of time for the many exclamation marks that will make up today's post. I am just SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!! I will be leaving for DC in mid-April for Staging (half day orientation with the rest of my fellow volunteers) and then our one-way flight to Bishkek will be on the 24th!!! It appears that it will be a lovely 2 1/2 day long flight... joy. Seriously though... JOY!!!!!

With grad school practically behind me, I look forward to the next chapter in my life! The realness has officially began to sink in. So much crying.... I'm a terrible blubber when it comes to saying good-bye to loved ones. It's been especially difficult this time around because I just love Denver and my fellow Korbel Denverites so stinkin' much! For the first time in my life, I have been able to find true happiness in life. To be surrounded by people who actually like me- for me, who share similar ambitions and similar life interests has just been so overwhelmingly wonderful. So, to leave all this in exchange for new uncertainty in a completely foreign and developing country is starting to sink in. However, I know that the next two years will be such an amazing adventure and a wonderful blessing with much needed life lessons.

Next to come.... packing for two years. By the time I leave for DC, you can call me Master of Packing! Food or clothes? Which will I choose to pack more? Which is more important for survival?!?! Stay tuned ya'll!
